Head of School
Westmont Montessori School is an independent, co-educational school with an early primary to grade 9 curriculum. We are committed to academic excellence in a caring learning environment. The school is well known for its exceptional Montessori Programs from Preschool to Grade 8. The family oriented learning environment takes an individual approach to learning where students are challenged to be the best they can be from early primary through to their middle years.
Westmont Montessori School is the school of choice for families who want something different from what is offered in the public system. We are passionate about what we do and we hope that you will be a part of it!
Head of School
West-Mont Montessori School has links to the first Montessori school in the Victoria area, The Montessori School, founded by Mrs. Marian Thomas in 1954 on Selwyn Road in Langford.
What started out as a small preschool nestled in Metchosin has grown into a fully fledged Montessori school offering programs to 185 students from preschool to Grade 8.
Boasting a campus second to none, Westmont is situated on the doorsteps of Witty's Lagoon, among tremendous natural areas, and surrounded by a vibrant farming community. All this only five minutes from the Westshore communities.

The School Act gives parents the right, through PACs, to assume an advisory role in every school. PAC is the officially recognized collective voice of parents of their school. PACs are forums within each school community to discuss matters affecting your school and the education of your children. Parents’ voices are a tremendous value to their school. They offer a wealth of ideas and support in the challenges that face all public schools. PACs strive to represent the diversity within their communities and contribute to the benefit of all students by: providing opportunities to educate and inform parents about the school; involving parents in volunteer activities; and openly discussing parents' concerns and aspirations for their schools.
